Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of MacroFriend, operated by SPACE CADET d.o.o.. Using the service means you accept them.
What the service is
MacroFriend estimates the calorie and macronutrient content of meals you describe or photograph in WhatsApp, and keeps a running diary against a target it calculates for you.
It is not medical advice
This is the most important thing on this page. MacroFriend is not a medical device, not a healthcare provider, and not a substitute for professional advice. The calorie and macro figures are estimates produced by a model looking at a photo or reading a sentence. Portion size in particular is genuinely hard to judge and will sometimes be wrong.
Do not use it to manage a medical condition. If you are pregnant, have diabetes, a kidney or heart condition, or any history of disordered eating, talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian before changing what you eat.
We set a floor on calorie targets and will not lower it on request. If you are looking for help eating less than your body needs, this is not the right tool and we will say so rather than help.
Your account
Your WhatsApp number is your account. Anyone with access to your WhatsApp can see and change your data, so treat your phone accordingly. You must be 18 or over.
Payment
- The first 10 meal logs are free. There is no time limit on them.
- After that it is €9.99 per month or €79 per year, renewing automatically until cancelled.
- Payments are processed by Polar, which acts as merchant of record and issues your invoice.
- Cancel any time. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for — we do not cut you off mid-period.
14-day money-back guarantee
If MacroFriend isn't for you, email dino@spacecadet.site within 14 days of paying and we will refund you in full. No form and no questions — just say so. This applies to your first payment on both the monthly and yearly plans.
As an EU consumer you also have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. By starting a subscription you ask us to begin supplying the service immediately, which normally ends that right once supply has begun — so the guarantee above is offered voluntarily in its place, and is not affected by it.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to break the law, don't try to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, and don't resell it. We may suspend an account that does.
Availability
The service depends on WhatsApp and on third-party model providers, and we cannot guarantee it is always available or always accurate. It is provided as-is.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, and nothing removes the statutory rights you have as a consumer.
Ending it
Send “delete my data” in the chat and everything is erased permanently. You can stop using the service at any time without giving a reason.
Governing law
Croatian law applies, and the courts of Croatia have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer this does not deprive you of the protection of the law of the country you live in.
